摘要

Decision Support Systems (DSS) and hydroinformatics, both as diverse fields in management and water modeling respectively, have evolved in parallel to converge at centrally placing decision maker use data and models for negotiable solutions to water oriented problems. This mapping has resulted in a cultural demonstration of modeling in aquatic environment while using the capabilities of a computer. A review of technological advancements that facilitated this mode of interaction is the highlight of this paper.
