Shri U.M.Paranjpe is a Civil Engineer and was a faculty at Sardar Patel College Of Engineering-Mumbai for 10 Years from 1971-81.He has pioneered and made a great contribution in spreading the knowledge in Rain Water Management. He has founded a trust "Jalvardhini Pratishthan"with an aim to provide Technical expertise in Water Conservation for Rural People. Main objective of Trust is to Transfer Technology to Village People. He has extensively conduting training and demonstration in rural parts across the India and have motivated them for water conservation.He has published Two Books on Water; "Zelu Paoos Onjalit" in Marathi; and"Let us collect Water Using Ferrocement Technology" in Marathi & English.
