Ben Metcalf Joins HUD

Former BRIDGE project manager Ben Metcalf has been appointed Deputy Assistant Secretary for Multifamily Housing Programs at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), effective August 5. Metcalf joined BRIDGE in 2004 with a two-year fellowship. He oversaw the development of high-profile, award-winning projects such as Ironhorse at Central Station, the affordable component of a major land-use effort in West Oakland (Calf.); and Trestle Glen, a transit-oriented family property with a child care center in San Mateo County.
