NAHRO IN THE NATION'S CAPIT: THE 2013 LEGISLATIVE CONFERENCE

With sequestration passed and the FY 2014 budget on the drawing board, late March was an excellent time to be learning about the appropriations process and visiting lawmakers on Capitol Hill. Though NAHRO leadership gamely spent a day and a half of sunny weekend weather in their committee meetings, there was still a sizeable showing at the Hill Advocacy Day Training and Tips session at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. After a brief lunch break interspersed by an ever-increasing number of attendees arriving, the conference was officially underway.
