Hospital Libraries Partner with Public Libraries

Other articles have appeared in this journal and elsewhere about hospital libraries joining with public libraries and other organizations to teach and deliver quality consumer health information. Selected programs are highlighted here. The Go Local Initiative funded by the National Library of Medicine forged partnerships to bring specially designed information tools to statewide constituents. This article adds to the knowledge base with details of Virtua's Health Sciences Library partnering with the Moorestown Public Library to teach Quality Health Information Resources on the Internet, and shares ideas about a forum with local public librarians on April 11, 2019 (4/11), Information Day for networking and planning future activities.
