To pick this book off the bookshelf you will probably have to be a bit of an anorak - and to a great extent this is because it is one of those books where the title does not accurately reflect the interesting and fascinating content of the book. When you first start reading the book, it is not clear how heritage values are defined and how they fit within a site management context. However, it soon becomes evident that this is about policy analysis at different levels, the identification of site-specific heritage values and how effective interpretive planning is put in place to make the necessary linkages.
