This is a book targeting two main audience segments, namely the academic community and tourism planners and practitioners. In addition, the book offers an interesting insight for readers interested in the historical and social context of Hong Kong. The content is largely based on evidence collected by the author, which methodologically, theoretically and practically is relevant for scholars and tourism professionals. On the other hand, the book gives interesting insights on general issues, such as the interpretation of heritage throughout the twentieth century and heritage revitalisation for tourism in Hong Kong.
