Addenda to the Dangerous Goods Air Transport Regulations

Is the 'air eligibility' symbol mandatory in 2004? Is there an additional statement required on the shipper's declaration this year? What is the acceptable sequence of information of the basic description of dangerous goods on the Shipper's Declaration? Just a few of the questions being asked in what has become quite a confusing situation. Confusion is the last thing you want if you are concerned with Aviation Safety. ICAO has issued an addendum that firstly amends the 2003-2004 edition of the Technical Instructions and secondly includes what they refer to as 'advance information' about proposed changes to the 2005-2006 edition. Some folks have misunderstood this and think that the proposals are in fact effective now - but that is not the case.
