The UN's Discussion on Limited Quantities and Consumer Commodities

It is important to consider the significant aspects of limited quantity provisions that have been in place for years in addition to recent strides. Mr. Wybenga addresses the intentions and reasoning of international organizations in the debate on whether to retain the existing UN consumer commodity paragraph 3.4.9 with or without some modification. The outcome on the issue of consumer commodities is an important aspect to domestic and international trade. Each of the relevant regulatory systems are discussed: the UN Model Regulations, 49 CFR, the IMO IMDG Code and the European Road and Rail regulations, the ADR and RID.
