Special Report: Deadline for Comment on Draft Revised ICAO Packing Instructions Draws Near

As many readers are aware, the ICAO Dangerous Goods Panel (DGP) has proposed a complete reformatting of the packing instructions in the ICAO Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air ("the Technical Instructions"). The new packing instruction system would apply to Classes 3, 4, 5, 8 and Division 6.1. Comments on the draft revised packing must be submitted before March 22, 2007. This report explains the rationale for the changes and how readers may file comments via the internet.
