Maritime Hazardous Cargo Security Act of 2009

Back at the end of June, Senator Frank Lautenberg (D,NJ) introduced S 1385, the Maritime Hazardous Cargo Security Act (MHCSA) of 2009. In a press release issued on the day of introduction, Sen. Lautenberg's office noted that the purpose of the bill was "to protect America's communities and economy by improving the security of hazardous cargo shipments, including liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied petroleum gas".
