On April 9th, 2009 the Pipeline and Hazardous Material Safety Administration published the Final Rule on Docket HM-218E, Miscellaneous Cargo Tank Motor Vehicle and Cylinder Issues. The rule became effective on May 11th with voluntary compliance authorized on April 9th. The notice of proposed rule making (NPRM) for this docket appeared in the Federal Register on April 12th, 2007.
