Fitness for Special Permits and Approvals -What is it? Why? and PHMSA's recent Public Meeting

Based on information recently obtained by the Journal, PHMSA may conduct a second public hearing on the matter of fitness, and will make available a record of the comments recorded at the August public meeting. Critical will be the means by which PHMSA elects to construct fitness criteria for organizations which wish to file or renew applications for special permits and approvals. Industry input on this important matter remains essential.
