Q1 For limited quantities, a benefit is not having to use a UN certified packaging provided the applicable general requirements are met. But, can a shipper use a UN certified package with untested inners which don't meet approved variations in 178.601? We do this as a way to reduce the total number of packaging configurations in stock. In essence we have one box that's used primarily for fully regulated shipments, and periodically for limited quantity consignments. Is this an acceptable practice since the regulations say "non" UN certified with respect to Limited Quantity.
