摘要

This investigation was initiated to study the heterogeneous photocatalytic reactions of cresols and nitrophenols with ultraviolet light/titanium dioxide (UV/TiO_2) system. The experimental parts consisted of pH effect, determination of intermediates and mineralization. At pH 7 and a concentration of 0.1 mM, cresols and nitrophenols nearly disappeared after 2.5 h of reaction time. Under various pH levels, the pseudo first order rate constants of Langmuiir-Hinshelwood model Was found satisfactory.
