Modified methods of designing sliding surface in variable structure systems

摘要

This paper presents two modified methods of designing sliding surface in variable structure systems based on the mathematical equation established for the relationship between the steady-state error of the system and the slope of the sliding surface. Replacing the switching function with the saturation function in the control signal, the methods can not only reduce the system steady-state error, but also smooth chatterring in the variable structre systems.
