The KrF Direct Drive Fusion Concept

In collaboration with other laboratories, we are beginning a program to study and demonstrate the scientific, technical and economic feasibility of power production using laser fusion. The program, based on the development of a high average power Krypton Fluoride laser, is described in this paper.
