摘要

Cornelian cherry (Cornus mas L.) is known as a medicinal plant. It cannbe used as a fresh or dried fruit. In this study, color characteristics and somenphysical properties of three Iranian genotypes of cornelian cherry werenstudied. Color characteristics, true density and static coefficient of friction ofncherries were measured using the L*a*b* model, toluene displacementnmethod and tilting table, respectively. Dimensions, equivalent diameter andnsphericity were also measured. Lightness, redness and color density of threengenotypes were in the range of 20.68 to 26.10, 16.88 to 24.72 and 17.90 ton26.01, respectively. The maximum amount of bulk and true density werenobtained for the genotype C2 (861 and 1118 kg/m3) and the maximum amountnof repose angle was obtained for the genotype C12 (75°). Genotype C13 hadnthe maximum value of porosity, sphericity and static coefficient of friction onnthe steel surface (23.54, 86.17 and 1.22%, respectively).
