Letter from the New Editor

On July 1,2012, Bruno Biais, Michael Roberts, and I became the new Editors of the Journal of Finance (JF). We approach this new endeavor with considerable humility, recognizing that credit for the success of the JF lies with the enormous efforts expended on behalf of our profession by our team of Associate Editors and our colleagues who serve as referees. Of paramount importance to us is that authors receive timely, constructive, and in-depth feedback on the research they submit to the JF. Toward this end, each of us will have full editorial responsibility for a subset of the submissions received. I will be reading all papers that are assigned the "revise and resubmit" status, and all three of us will be discussing the papers in process on a regular basis.
