MOBILE PHONES IN OUR LIFE

On the occasion of the thematic axis 'Consumerism and Environment', within the framework of the Decade of Education for Sustainability (Unesco 2005-2014), we studied, planned, and applied experimentally the present educational programme in the Environmental Education Centre of Eleftherio-Kordelio in Thessaloniki. Initially, the choice of the programme was proposed by many students that visited our centre within the framework of the free subject selection concerning Environmental Education. In the above environmental programme, we approached the issue of the mobile phone with a teaching plan that is placed in the critical based Systems Thinking. The above teaching plan utilises the 'pedagogical models' and is built gradually, going through four periods-phases, with focal point in demand the citizen who participates consciously in the public life.
