Expert system and its applications for a sustainable environment management

摘要

The performances obtained in the field of environment management depend on the exploitation of the new knowledge sources. The purpose of this article is to summarise the state-of-the-art of the expert systems research field. First, we introduce the basic notion of knowledge, rules, routine, and then we mainly concentrate on the most important expert systems and their impact on the environment management. So, we will review some of the computer program applications which employ the technology of expert systems, the new phenomenon in the information technology world and have invaded the world of environmental management.
