ECONOMIC GROWTH AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.CASE STUDY: CENTRE REGION, ROMANIA

摘要

Regional activity planning needs the analysis of a significant number of relevant statistical indicators. Gross domestic product (GDP) is a synthetic indicator that characterises best a territory level of development, being also the support for more profound socio-economical analysis. In this paper the Gross Domestic Product is analysed considering the level and its structure for the Centre region of Romania during 1998 and 2007, and comparing it with the other Romanian regions pointing out the intraregional discrepancies.
