In this investigation effects of contact time, solution pH, initial metal concentration and waste tire crumb dose were studied for the removal of copper(II) from synthetic solution. Equilibrium was reached in 180 min. Optimum pH and dosage of adsorbent for adsorption studies were found to be 6.2 and 10 g/l, respectively. Pseudo-second order kinetic showed best description of the effect of contact time. Initial metal concentration study was best described by the Fruendlich isotherm with highest R2 (0.9560) and reasonably lower values of sum of square error (SSE) (0.08031) and root mean square error (RMSE) (0.1157). Non-linear regression of the data resulted in better fitting of the isotherm models.
