STUDIES ON THE LAST STAGE OF PRODUCT LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT FOR A PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCT

In the context of Product Lifecycle Management, the pharmaceutical industry is more oriented on the process and drug composition. Therefore, it is necessary a type of PLM approach which aims to manage the process so that the environment would be just fine as well. Emphasising the consumption of drugs in recent years, in Romania, has generated an increasing amount of pharmaceutical waste in the form of unused and expired medications. The aim of the study is to look at the impact of public education campaigns on pharmaceutical waste management in the Bihor county population. This was done during 6 months, following the way in which such wastes are gathered/stored. The study was conducted within five urban and rural pharmacies.
