MULTI-PURPOSE INTERNET-BASED INFORMATION SYSTEM 'URBAN'- URBAN TREE DATABASE AND CLIMATE IMPACT EVALUATION

摘要

The exploitation of urban green zones and green forests by municipalities constitutes a major parameter within urban sustainability, in the context of the improvement of public health, quality of life and well-being of the population. Within the tools for strategic sustainable management, protection and exploitation of the urban and suburban greenery, new technologies are widely used such as Internet-based platform, databases, GIS and environmental impact prediction model for climate change issues. This paper presents a multi-purpose internet-based Information System for the management and exploitation of urban green zones and their microclimate variations.
