The outdoor gamma radiation levels and radon exposures in working environment must be monitored, spatially in mines, it may have any significant impact on public and worker health due to harmful effect of ionising radiation to humans. This investigations can be useful for assessment of public dose rates, the performance of epidemiological studies, and database to follows the possible changes in the environmental radioactivity due to nuclear, industrial, and other human activities. The results of exposure from external gamma radiation was found to vary from 0.07 to 0.18 mu Sv h(-1) with an average of 0.12 mu Sv h(-1) and standard deviation 0.52 mu Sv h(-1). Radon concentration in open coal mine Mirash-Bardh of Kosovo basin was found to vary from 1.74 to 22.09 Bq m(-3) with average of 16.14 Bq m(-3) and standard deviation of 10.04 Bq m(-3). The outdoor radon and gamma radiation levels observed around environment in the study do not have any significant impact on radon and gamma radiation in the public domain.
