EVALUATION OF METAL CATIONS IN SURFACE WATER VIA DECISION ANALYSIS BY RANKING TECHNIQUES (DART)

Decision analysis by ranking techniques (DART) is used for the ranking of metal chemical species according to their concentration levels. Hasse diagram technique (HDT) was implemented for ranking of two variables, concentration levels of metal cations in Tisa river and risk quotient (RQ) for selected cations. Selected cations of metals (Mn~(2+), Zn~(2+), Cu~(2+), Cr~(3+), Pb~(2+), Cd~(2+)) in the Tisa River during the five-year monitoring program (2011-2015.), on three representative locations were determined. The main role of Environmental risk assessment (ERA) is to examine the ecostressor-response relationships. For the ERA, risk quotients were calculated using the obtained metal cations concentration levels and Predicted no-effect concentration (PNEC) values. The concentration levels of metal cations as well as the RQ values in Tisa River from Martonos to Titel are increasing due to the high load of pollutants and negative influence of large number of polluters located on the river bank.
