A study of mutagenic effects of spurious lipsticks chemicals in Drosophila melanogaster.

摘要

In the present study three brands of spurious lipsticks produced in India by unknown company were tested for their mutagenic and teratogenic potential in Drosophial melanogaster. The flies were treated at both larval and adult stages with 1 to 10/100 concentrations of lipstick's in acetone. The breeding potential, abnormal development and sex linked recessive lethals were assessed after treatment with each lipstick solution.
