Victor Company of Japan, Ltd. has announced a 1.75-inch, 8K4K Direct-Drive Image Light Amplifier (D-ILA) high-reflective LC device for projectors, highlighting a pixel count of 8,192 × 4,320 or 35 million dots, thanks to the implementation of a 4.8μm pixel pitch fine pixel technology. The impressive pixel resolution is 17 times the level of full high-definition and is fully compatible to Super Hi-Vision standard being promoted by NHK as an advanced broadcast technology. The gap between pixels measure 0.24um and achieves a high aperture of 90 percent, while maintaining ultrahigh resolution.
