Profit Sustainability Tops Fujitsu Ten's Corporate Priorities

Although it posted the largest sales and profits in the first half of FY2008 in the company's history, the business results of Fujitsu Ten Limited significantly deteriorated in the latter half of the fiscal year. This has been affected by the global economic downturn especially due to sluggish sales of automobiles, as well as by the impact of exchange rates. Sales in FY2008 fell 14 percent from the previous year to ¥312.6 billion (US$3.1 billion), marking the first decline in 10 years.
