Managing electronic resources effectively and efficiently is a complex endeavor that now demands a paradigm shift in how academic library technical services departments function. The switch from print collections to electronic has affected the main organizational model of technical services and the underlying workflow processes, forcing the creation of new job descriptions with different (previously unheard of) job titles and even changes to the names of key areas within technical services.
