Written as a guide to aid librarians with answering data reference questions, this resource-packed reference book points readers to major and minor national and world data sources on a variety of topics. This guide should not be confused with a reference book specifically aimed at directing users to the best place to find established statistics, although many sources double in this capacity. Instead, this book is designed to point users to freely available sources that are rich with data (data sets) that can be worked with and statistically analyzed, particularly with the help of statistical software packages such as the open source Survey Documentation and Analysis (SDA) software that gets brief coverage in this book.
