Bletchley Park Air Section: Signals Intelligence Support to RAF Bomber Command

In the spring of 2006, a fortunate turn of events saved part of EW history from being lost forever. While researching material for a planned exhibit at an AOC International Symposium hosted by the UK Chapter of Old Crows in London, Wing Commander John Stubbington discovered that the original World War II material produced by the RAF Air Section at The Government Codes & Ciphers School (GC&CS) (Bletchley Park) had been discarded. This included original RAF Y-Service intercepts, messages in Enigma, lower grade codes and radio telephony.
