NAVY SEEKS POWER AMPLIFIER ADVANCES FOR AEA

The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) in Point Mugu, CA, is seeking information on new pow- er amplifier (PA) linearization methods and systems for use in Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) systems. As described in its request for information (RFI), "In spite of significant advances in tube, hybrid and solid-state technologies, PAs generally remain the 'bottleneck' component to a system in terms of bandwidth, added distortion, and low size, weight and power (SWAP) considerations."
