ALISE 2012 Best Conference Papers

Congratulations to the authors of the three Best Conference Papers in this section, which appropriately echo and expand the ALISE 2012 Conference theme, "Extending Our Reach, Expanding Our Horizons, Creating Opportunity." In her second award winning paper in as many years, Sue Searing continues her analysis of special collections in librari-anship, this time extending her reach into the past to trace the roots of the institution often referred to as the "library school library." Two papers extend our horizons across national borders.
