摘要

Being a member of the professoriate is absolutely rewarding and fulfilling, but it can also be difficult. And it can be painful. And it can induce anxiety and feelings of being an imposter. These things are certainly experienced by all instructors, and they can be particularly acute for faculty members of color. The articles in this special issue share deeply personal, distressing, and often traumatic stories of minority library and information science faculty across the United States, with the goal of explicating the fact that faculty of color do indeed experience notably different challenges while working in higher education.
