摘要

Static renewal bioassay tests were conducted to determine the toxicity of cypermethrin to the freshwater fish, Cirrhinus mrigala. The fish were exposed to different concentrations of cypermethrin and mortality was observed for 96 h. The LC_(50) value of cypermethrin was found to bt 5.13μg/l. Decreased level of oxygen consumption was noticed in C. Mrigala exposed to lethal concentration for 1, 2, 3 and 4 days and also in sub lethal concentration for 1.7. 14 and 21 days to study toxicity of cypermethrin, the decrement may be due to the respiratory distress as a consequence of the impairment of oxidative metabolism.
