EFFECT OF PESTICIDES ON PROTEIN METABOLISM OF MUD SKIPPER BOLEOPHTHALMUS DUSSUMIERI

摘要

The protein content of liver and muscle of mudskipper Boleophthalmus dussumieri was studied after exposure to cypermethrin and fenvalerate. There was a significant decease in hepatic protein which varied from -11.73 to -36.62% whereas the decrease in muscle protein varied from -10.87 to -40.83% after pesticide treatment. With increase in period of exposure, there was decrease in hepatic and muscle protein.
