摘要

Studies on removal of Arsenic (As) (III) by. absorption on groundnut husk and groundnut husk carbon have been carried out at room temperature (25+-1℃). The absorption isotherm of As(III) on groundnuT husk carbon was obtained in a batch reactor. The process of uptake follows first-order adsorption rate expression and obeys Langmuir and Freundlich model of absorption. The mass transfer coefficients as a function of initial sorbate concentration have been determined. Parameters such as pH and absorbent dose were studied. Maximum adsorption capacity was observed at pH 7.0.
