摘要

The study was carried out fortnightly over a period of one year from Jan. 2001 to Dec. 2001 to examine the variations of fluoride content, pH and temperature of Vishnupuri project water at Nanded for assessing the suitability of water for drinking, irrigation and industrial purposes. An average fluoride concentration of water was 0.25 mg/l having range of 0.16 mg/l (Summer) to 0.41 mg/l (winter). It was below the prescribed standards for drinking. The pH was in the range of 7.2 to 8.3 and is within the desirable limits. Maximum pH was in January, while minimum in August. Monthly temperature variations of water was in the range of 19.7 to 32℃.
