EFFECT OF ARSENIC ON HAEMATOLOGICAL PARAMETERS OF FRESHWATER FISH, LABEO ROHITA

摘要

Effect of two sub lethal concentrations (1 /10th-0.27ppm & 1/3rd -0.91 ppm of the 96 h LC_(50)) of arsenic on selected haematological parameters of Labeo rohita were investigated after 7th. 14th 21st and 28th days . There was a significant decrease in red blood corpuscles (-18.61%) and haemoglobin (-25.1 %), whereas increase in white blood corpuscles (21.21%) was observed for all exposure periods.
