Given the economic woes and resource constraints currently facing many governments, the timing is great for a book on how to most efficiently mobilize entrepreneurial resources toward increased societal wealth. In Knowledge Intensive Entrepreneurship: The Birth, Growth, and Demise of Entrepreneurial Firms, Delmar and Wennberg explicitly set out to "further our understanding of how technological knowledge is converted into economic growth" (p. 2). The authors are especially interested in how environmental factors-including government policy-influence entrepreneurial outcomes in knowledge intensive industries.
