摘要

The ambition of Out of Print by George Brock is to place journalism and the business of news reporting into a sweeping arc of political and technological history. Why? Perhaps from this vantage, Brock can best meet his stated aim of dispensing "clear-eyed" analysis of the challenges brought about by digitization without pocketing the rosy glasses that portray today's turmoil and transformation as a transient phase of an enduring profession.
