For the anthropogenically influenced river Drau in Austria the relative importance of abrasion and se- Lective transport was discussed. Basically this question is Relevant for numerical sediment transport models simulart- Ing river bed developments. For the river Drau a general Decrease of the grain size diameter could be observed over The river length, although only locally a significant reduc- Tion occured. The analysis of the relative importance leads To the conclusion that selective transport processes are Dominant.
