Rapid grwoth of KH_2PO_4 crystals in aqueous solution with additives

摘要

Based on the measurement of the metastable zone and properties of KH_2PO_4 (KDP) solutions with several additives such as borates and EDTA, KDP single crystals up to 50 mm in size have been grown by a rapid growth technique on the Z-cut point seed in a glass crysallizer of 51 in volume. The growth rates reach up to 10-15 mm/d in both the [0 0 1] and [1 0 0] directions.
