Industry Perceptions of the Event Management Curriculum in Shanghai

摘要

This empirical study investigates the industry perceptions of the Event Management curriculum in Shanghai, China. Respondents utilized a five-point Likert scale to rate their level of perception. Findings showed that “event document” is regarded as the most important course among all event-related courses. Findings also revealed courses like “event planning,” “simulated event practice,” “event customer service and management,” “introduction to the meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions industry,” “event marketing,” “English for convention and exhibition,” and “onsite-event practice” were the points of focus of event management education.
