Both these volumes set out to examine broadly the same ground and use much the same methodologies. They both offer a comparative analysis of the changing provision of social/public services in a range of European states, tracking and comparing the multi-level delivery mechanisms, marketisation and governance policies. Both volumes concentrate mainly on states within the EU, but also include Norway.
