This book evaluates the coverage of the economic, political and social dimensions of the Greek crisis in the international press through an analysis of a mixture of economic newspapers, broadsheets and tabloids in Britain, France, Germany, Italy and the USA. The volume consists of eight chapters: Chapter 1 introduces the issue of the Greek crisis and its media coverage; Chapters 2 and 3 provide an overview of the crisis, including the roots of the problem and the international community's response; Chapters 4 to 7 are devoted to the actual coverage of the Greek crisis in the international media, presenting the results of the quantitative and qualitative analyses; the last chapter offers the author's perspective on the future of the Greek crisis. The book benefits from the use of a wide range of sources, including newspaper material complemented by the author's personal experience as a journalist and his own interviews with journalists and bankers.
