Closure to 'Role of Simulation in Construction Engineering and Management' by Simaan AbouRizk

The writer underscores the fact that the original paper was intended to provide a summary of the author's views on construction simulation and its application in industry, as previously presented in his Peurifoy address. The original paper in the section "Areas of Application Where Simulation is Generally More Effective Than Other Tools" relayed the experience of the author to the reader on the subject matter. The writer feels that a "systematic listing of the desired characteristics..." was neither warranted nor within the immediate subject matter of the original paper. The writer, in other publications, has tackled this issue in a structured manner that was founded upon appropriate computer science methods: see Hajjar and AbouRizk (1998, 2002), both of which were referenced in the original paper.
