摘要

A dynamic model of a two-dimensional multistory building subjected to earthquake and wind excitations is presented in this paper. A linear quadratic regulator and an H_2 optimal control are used for the suppression of adverse vibration effects. Different technologically available schemes for the placement of controllers are investigated. It is demonstrated by numerical experiments using the finite element model that by proper selection of the weight factors for the performance criteria involved in the optimal control problem, the response of a multistory building structure can be reduced considerably.
